It was in 1992 that Jean Patou decided to create the fragrance Sublime. He saw it as a way to perfect a woman's allure and her natural elegance. As Jean Kerléo, the brand's official perfumer, put it: "One day I wanted this sublime woman to exist. Warm, gentle, sensual and vibrant with joie de vivre… A true nature. A woman at ease with her life, a woman of today and tomorrow." He then created a surprising and radiant, refined and authentic fragrance. He made it a completely yellow juice, as if radiating happiness and as if the woman were suddenly becoming the one who lights up life. Sublime then perfectly embodies the image of pure happiness, irresistible desire, harmony and beauty. Jean Kerléo's true dream was, according to him, that a man would one day recount: "I remember… At that very moment, without thinking, I followed her. It was on the Pont des Arts one day that I met her. Why that sudden attraction? In the city so many such beautiful women… But she, she was… Her." It contains a good dose of citrus notes, allowing it to preserve its energising facet. These include orange and mandarin. Finally, its base note is more sensual.
