Unlike many luxury houses, Caron has specialised in the creation of fragrances since its very inception. Whilst couture perfumery has become hugely popular today, Caron is more firmly rooted in the tradition of historic perfumery. The house takes great pleasure in crafting traditional fragrances that blend synthetic ingredients with natural elements. Although its creations are highly varied, Caron frequently incorporates its signature scent, composed of geranium, liquorice, leather, iodine, and vanilla. This blend, known as "Mousse de Saxe," has become the emblem of the house.
