The remarkable growth of Biotherm

Biotherm is a French brand founded in 1952 in the Pyrenees by Dr Jos Julien. Originally, he had the idea of incorporating thermal plankton into cosmetic skincare products to accelerate the healing of certain skin conditions. To protect his technique, he filed a patent and created the Biotherm brand. Building on this initial success, the brand went on to develop a wider range of beauty products. Always at the cutting edge of innovation, Biotherm has continued to advance its research ever since. Acquired in 1970 by the L'Oréal group, it was also at this point that Biotherm began to build its international reputation. Today, Biotherm is one of the most significant players in the global beauty industry.
