The story of the Valentino brand

Valentino is a couture house that opened its doors in Rome in 1960, founded by Valentino Garavani. Its first collection was presented at the heart of the celebrated Palazzo Pitti in Florence in 1963. The defining moment of recognition came, however, when Jackie Kennedy wore one of its gowns for her remarriage to Aristotle Onassis. Buoyed by this success, the house of Valentino subsequently conceived a line of jewellery accessories to complement its elegant creations. In keeping with this vision, a line of cosmetics and fragrances was also created.
