Versace, a typically Italian brand

The story of the house of Versace is that of Gianni Versace, an Italian born in 1946 who very quickly discovered the world of fashion, alongside his mother. It was she who trained him, and it was through this apprenticeship that he began working as an independent designer. It was not until 1978 that Gianni Versace left his home region and moved to Milan to found his own label. That very same year, he presented his first womenswear collection — the first stone in what has since become a colossal edifice.
