The singularity of Patou pour Homme

Once again, it was perfumer Jean Kerléo who was entrusted with the creation of this fragrance. It is described as a woody and spicy juice, displaying a particularly complex and thus all the more captivating scent. Patou pour Homme opens with a fresh pairing of bergamot and lemon. These zesty citrus notes are further enhanced by the spicy, incandescent tones of Malabar black pepper. Patou pour Homme then evolves towards a slightly floral heart, composed of the elegance of jasmine and rose. Lavender is also present, showcasing its notes typical of masculine perfumery. Other aromatic ingredients then join the composition. Patou pour Homme also features sage, tarragon and violet leaves. The whole is, however, perfectly balanced and gives Patou pour Homme a very elegant signature. It then takes on a richly woody base. Cedar, vetiver, sandalwood, oakmoss and patchouli are particularly prominent. Amber and incense, in turn, bind the whole together. Finally, a hint of leather lends this fragrance an even more animal quality. Originally, the composition was housed in a bottle inspired by that of Joy, revisited in a more masculine style and resting on a solid base. Since 2014, however, Patou pour Homme has been part of the Héritage collection and has therefore been given a new bottle – this time an elegant flacon with generous curves.
