Although the immortelle has always been a leitmotif in the compositions of Parfum d'Empire, Marc-Antoine Corticchiato had been dreaming for years of making it the fiery heart of a perfume.
Today, that dream comes to life in a creation that could only bear one name: IMMORTELLE CORSE.
The fragrance opens with a trio of fire-coloured notes — saffron, apricot and lemon — evoking the sunny radiance of the immortelle flower. An indispensable velvety prelude that introduces the star
ingredient. For the immortelle only reveals itself in the heart. One of the most powerful natural ingredients in the perfumer's palette, it is only over the course of hours that it fully expresses the richness of its
aromas of spices, liqueur, wood and fruit. By contrast, the saline and earthy notes of oakmoss evoke the soil of the maquis where the flower that never dies blooms... The quintessence of a land ablaze with sunlight.

A WORD FROM MARC-ANTOINE CORTICCHIATO

The immortelle fascinates me. It takes over my corner of the Corsican maquis, where I spend a great deal of time. I wanted its radiance at the summer solstice, when it is drenched in sunshine.
It was a chef friend who, without knowing it, whispered the key to this composition: combining ingredients by colour.
«It always works», he told me. As soon as I had developed my saffron - apricot - lemon accord, I knew I had the starting point of my story.
As I wanted velvetiness, I chose a natural, juicy apricot, which also brings a soft orange glow. It is one of my shortest formulas. I wanted impact, immediacy — while staying within elegance.
