THE CREATION In 2011, Jean-Claude Ellena signed Voyage d'Hermès Parfum, an intense and generous reinterpretation of the original fragrance. « I moved away from the principle of "concentration" of the formula to focus on the intensity of perceptions and the breadth of the trail. » THE OLFACTORY NOTES Woody and ambery, Voyage d'Hermès Parfum reveals an invigorating juniper berry married to the milky, soft character of sandalwood. THE OBJECT Designer Philippe Mouquet created a singular object, inspired by a pocket magnifying glass found by chance along the way. The black glass bottle is dressed with a silver-coloured stirrup, adorned with the emblematic saddle nail. THE ETHICS The bottle is refilled using the Voyage d'Hermès 125 ml perfume refill. A responsible gesture, inseparable from an object created to last. THE HERMÈS DETAIL Since the founding by Thierry Hermès of a harness and saddle workshop in Paris in 1837, Hermès has been the craftsman of movement and the companion of the journey. This theme inspires creation and animates the culture of the house. « An invitation to discovery, to encounter, to sharing. » Jean-Claude Ellena Nourished by imagination, Voyage d'Hermès expresses the deep and original relationship that the house maintains with travel. Philippe Mouquet, designer for Hermès, created for Voyage d'Hermès a nomadic bottle-object, conceived for travel and as a messenger of movement.
