What is Musc Tonkin?

It is a plant-based resin obtained from a tree named styrax tonkineuse. This resin is harvested before being processed and used in the form of pastes in perfumery. Furthermore, it is a particularly valued raw material for its ease of use and its easy dilution in alcohol. It then delivers a scent that is at once waxy, animalic, soft and honeyed.
