Once again, in this year 2016, Prada continues its exploration of the most iconic raw materials in perfumery. Nine years after the appearance of the very first Infusion d'Iris, it is indeed a new flower that is today interpreted in the form of an infusion. Prada thus presents its perfume Infusion de Mimosa, a fragrance that completes an already highly refined collection of essences. This juice is signed by perfumer Daniela Andrier. It offers a fresh and gentle scent akin to «an apparition in yellow velvet. A multisensory experience.»
The fragrance collection «Les Infusions de Prada»
Infusion de Mimosa belongs to the Les Infusions de Prada collection. It is an assemblage of pure and classic essences that are also particularly innovative. Indeed, through each of these perfumes, Prada has highlighted a celebrated ingredient from the world of perfumery. This line was orchestrated with extraordinary talent. Lovers of rare essences expressed their admiration upon discovering this collection and rushed to their stores to acquire this heavy engraved glass bottle bearing the original crest of the Prada brand. The entire assortment was developed by the talented perfumer Daniela Andrier. She explains: «I find myself, indeed, at the opposite end of the spectrum from loud perfumery. There are so many clichés in this world. I don't believe that all women want to wear a sexy fragrance or smell of indulgent caramel.» Thus, she imagined juices that, as their name suggests, evoke more the spirit of an infusion. Moreover, these fragrances are not without evoking old-fashioned perfumes. However, this only serves to enhance their charm and to perfect their so finely balanced aesthetic.
The velvety scent of Infusion de Mimosa
Infusion de Mimosa opens with a very anise-like scent. Star anise, an ingredient derived from a tropical tree shaped like a brown eight-pointed star, imparts spicy, fresh and aromatic nuances to the whole. Moreover, the invigorating opening of this perfume is further reinforced by the tangy presence of mandarin. Then, very quickly, Infusion de Mimosa reveals its full femininity in its heart. This heart overflows, of course, with mimosa, a flower with a vegetal, powdery and honeyed scent. Likewise, the rose comes to sublimate the whole with its romantic elegance. Finally, Infusion de Mimosa leaves behind a more elegant and sophisticated trail based on woody tones. It is contained in a bottle shared by the entire Les Infusions de Prada range. This bottle is reminiscent of the design of vintage perfume flacons. It is elegant and incredibly refined, featuring a modern silhouette with clean lines. Furthermore, the Infusion de Mimosa bottle also bears the historic Prada logo, designed in 1919 and incorporating the crest of the House of Savoy. The whole is further enhanced by a metallic cap and an embossed paper label of the finest effect. Unquestionably, Infusion de Mimosa is thus firmly rooted in the purest Italian tradition of the Prada house.
The golden balls of Mimosa infuse their downy scents, blended with the freshness of Mandarin essence. Star Anise reveals a unique tenderness, while Rose Absolute wraps the fragrance in a joyful note.
