One Love, the long-awaited fragrance from Jean-Louis Scherrer

When Jean-Louis Scherrer launches a perfume, the least one can say is that it does not go unnoticed. Indeed, the brand is not in the habit of multiplying its olfactory creations. The maison is rather oriented towards the Haute Couture spirit and always presents particularly refined works. Thus, it prefers to take its time in order to craft fragrances that perfectly embody the Jean-Louis Scherrer spirit. Furthermore, One Love is all the more remarkable as it is the first perfume to have been created since the passing, in June 2013, of the designer Jean-Louis Scherrer. This feminine jus is therefore a tribute to this avant-garde, visionary and elegant man. It fits seamlessly into the lineage of its predecessors and is equally refined. It presents itself as "a hymn to Paris and to the Scherrer woman". It thus seems to reconnect more than ever with the brand's values and even strongly evokes the very first jus from the maison Scherrer, launched in 1979.

The green scent of the One Love perfume

It is perfumer Thomas Fontaine, a particularly renowned nose who has worked for major niche brands such as Jean Patou, Lubin and Le Galion, who was entrusted with the creation of this olfactory tribute. One Love presents itself as a green and powdery perfume. It opens with an intense freshness based on bergamot and galbanum. Then, its powdery facet comes from violet, a powerful and slightly fruity ingredient with a somewhat retro character. Moreover, its floral aspect is further accentuated by the presence of mimosa and magnolia. Its femininity, however, is further exacerbated by the presence of rose. The whole composition is enlivened by a few spices clearly dominated by saffron. The latter is, incidentally, one of perfumer Thomas Fontaine's favourite raw materials. The fragrance closes with a deeper sillage based on oakmoss and ambrette. One Love is housed in a bottle designed by Thierry de Baschmakoff. This strongly recalls the other flacons from the history of the Jean-Louis Scherrer brand. It is conceived with a very architectural look and is tinged with a particularly luxurious golden colour.

Created by perfumer Thomas Fontaine, this singular green powdery floral is a true gem of French perfumery.
It is a declaration of love made to Paris and its women. Like an offered bouquet of fragrant flowers, a hesperidic opening of bergamot and lemon, then green and powdery with violet, mimosa, galbanum and iris.
It then reaches its full richness in the powerful and captivating saffron, married to orange blossom, magnolia and rose.
The sensuality of the base combines in the sillage oakmoss with ambrette seed on a cloud of white musks.
