Montblanc Legend Night breaks away from the duality of the house's black and white codes to make way for an amber hue reminiscent of wood, the most authentic of materials. Legend Night, the new masculine seducer from the Montblanc house

Legends are often made of virtuosity, boldness and inspiration. To pay tribute to them, the Maison Montblanc decided to turn them into a fragrance. It appeared on the men's perfumery market in 2011. Nevertheless, given the public's enthusiasm for it, Legend continues to be revisited. Montblanc seems to conceive as many different Legends as there are male personalities among its clientele. This time, Montblanc turns to seducers and presents the brand-new Legend Night.

The new contrasted fragrance of Legend Night

To develop this new fragrance, the Maison Montblanc once again called upon Olivier Pescheux. Indeed, he is the creator of the very first Legend. A graduate of the prestigious ISIPCA perfumery school in Versailles, this exceptional nose possesses an extraordinary mastery. A passionate traveller who lived in Thailand, he always strives to bring a touch of exoticism to his compositions. He says above all that he loves character-driven fragrances, and that is precisely what one finds in the new Legend Night.

To create this juice, he was joined by Antoine Maisondieu, another perfumer who ranks among the most renowned of our time. Coming from a family lineage working in perfumery, he says he draws his inspiration mainly from films. Thus, he brings to his craft an original and singular vision of the world. For Legend Night, both chose to work around highly varied and complementary nuances. Legend Night is a fragrance that opens with an aromatic flavour of sage associated with peppermint. This incisive freshness is also enriched with fresh spices such as cardamom or bergamot. Yet this initial freshness does not last long, and Legend Night is quickly joined by an incandescent warmth. Precious cedar and lavender scents come to assert the full masculinity of this fragrance. Its elegance, meanwhile, shines through in a powdery breath of violet. Finally, its sensuality is heightened by vanilla, patchouli and musk.

Montblanc creates a virile yet warm bottle

In terms of the bottle, Legend Night takes on all the codes of its predecessor. It adopts the same round and heavy shape as its forerunner. However, while the latter was conceived in a deep black reminiscent of Montblanc's famous pen, this time it is entirely different. Legend Night features glass with a gradient in copper tones. Its solid, warm base evolves towards darker hues at the top. The whole is both warm and deep, perfectly hinting at the formula it contains. Likewise, the metal collar of old has today disappeared in favour of an opaque black lacquer. However, the emblematic six-pointed star of Montblanc still adorns the beautiful bottle of Legend Night.
