A tribute to René Lalique

Through the perfume L'Insoumis, Lalique wanted to pay homage to the man who breathed this wind of creation into the world. René Lalique is one of the greatest creators of his era, both as a jewellery designer and as a master glassmaker. He displayed a unique and unmistakable style. He spent his entire career evolving with the trends of his time. He particularly marked the periods of Art Nouveau and Art Déco. Indeed, it is precisely this style that can be found in the bottle of L'Insoumis. He always championed the pursuit of beauty over refinement at any cost. He repeatedly said: « Mieux vaut la recherche du beau que l'affichage du luxe. » L'Insoumis is therefore a juice crafted with extreme simplicity. Its recipe is quite authentic and classic, yet no less elegant. L'Insoumis is an absolutely harmonious fragrance, worthy of the finest creations of the man nicknamed the « Poète du verre ». L'Insoumis, a fragrance of authenticity

L'Insoumis is a juice designed for a charismatic, elegant and refined man. He does not seem to follow trends but rather creates them himself. This composition was crafted by the talented perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin. He integrated rich ingredients, thus releasing multiple facets. The scent of L'Insoumis opens with an alliance of bergamot, rum and basil. In this way, a gentle bitterness brushes against more aromatic tones. These only serve to open the path to the heart of L'Insoumis. This heart is particularly rich in lavender, one of the key ingredients in men's perfumery. This Mediterranean plant is also associated with clary sage. Moreover, the whole is further enlivened by the spicy presence of black pepper. The base of L'Insoumis then reveals itself to be more intense and woody. Its masculinity is expressed through Haitian vetiver and oakmoss. White wood molecules and patchouli come in turn to close this composition. As for the bottle, L'Insoumis is housed in a contemporary Art Déco-style case. It is decorated with a typical fern motif from la maison Lalique, which first appeared on a vase in 1926. Indisputably, Lalique brilliantly signs here a perfumed concentrate of its history.
