Prada has always displayed a complex personality and very bold creations. This has only intensified since the talented Miuccia Prada, granddaughter of the founder, took over the brand. It is in this context that the fragrance Candy appeared in 2011, a true gourmand fragrance and symbol of audacity. As always, success was immediate. This essence was therefore revisited on several occasions. It also seems that the house of Prada wanted to treat its fans. That is why a brand-new olfactory variation of this cult fragrance has just been unveiled. It is none other than the all-new Candy Kiss.
The bewitching scent of Candy Kiss
Like each of the scented variations of Candy, this new juice was created by perfumer Daniela Andrier. As usual, it is a playful and gourmand fragrance, particularly addictive. Candy Kiss seems to have been designed to create dependency. Indeed, like a favourite song that one never tires of discovering again and again, it repeatedly triggers a host of ever more intense emotions. Yet Candy Kiss conceals a fairly simple recipe. It has embraced musk as a true leitmotif running from the top notes all the way through to its trail. This ingredient of animal origin, now synthetic, exudes a strong scent that is both woody and animal. It gives the fragrance exceptional staying power and lends Candy Kiss a very sensual character. It is, however, softened by the presence of orange blossom at its heart. This ingredient sourced from Morocco and Tunisia exudes a floral, powdery and slightly sweet scent. It is then taken over by the enchantment of vanilla. This exotic product delivers, in turn, a softer, warm and suave fragrance. This perfume is pure pleasure!
The aesthetics of Prada's new creation
The bottle of Candy Kiss draws very strong inspiration from its predecessor. It takes the shape of a slender glass column, both spirited and featuring bold details. This case brilliantly combines modernity and classicism. Indeed, its very refined logo, inscribed in gold lettering, is reminiscent of bottles from days gone by. The whole is then topped by a crescent-shaped pump, the distinctive feature of this entire fragrance collection. However, while it was once lacquered in black, it is now envisioned in a very elegant pearlescent white. Candy Kiss is more understated than before and features a particularly feminine pink base. Likewise, the face chosen by Prada is worthy of this surge of femininity. Candy Kiss is embodied by American model Lexi Boling, the emblematic pop muse of the moment. She was photographed by the expert eye of Steven Meisel. Needless to say, her perfect face captured in close-up will not leave you unmoved. The face of Prada perfectly mirrors this fragrance, at once girly and incisive, absolutely fascinating!
