Rem L'Acqua

The new fragrance Rem L’Acqua is an ideal companion for the summer season. Its freshness and lightness make it an exceptional juice for hot summer days. In this sense, it wonderfully follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, the iconic Rem by Réminiscence. Both are clearly evocative of holidays, and the new Rem L’Acqua may well achieve the same success as its forerunner, which was launched just 20 years ago.

The new Rem L’Acqua

Rem L’Acqua is an easy-to-wear juice that wonderfully blends lightness and modernity. Yet its freshness is not crafted in the usual way around citrus notes. Indeed, Rem L’Acqua is nothing like a Cologne. Instead, it builds its scent on solar notes evoking the beach, holidays and warm sand. Its opening unfolds with a zesty bergamot accord, a fruit born from the cross between the lemon tree and the bitter orange tree. Its tangy, jasmine-tinged character is then combined with salicylates, molecules associated with a sunny scent reminiscent of sea salt. The narcissus, in turn, brings floral and chypre tones to the composition. Finally, Rem L’Acqua closes with a woodier, ambery note containing notably vanilla, benzoin, labdanum and musk. As usual, this new Rem comes in a bottle resembling a pebble topped with a seaweed-shaped cabochon. Its colour is however intended to be more translucent than usual. Rem L’Acqua is presented in a turquoise blue gradient emblematic of the Réminiscence brand. Overall, this new juice is described as particularly poetic and full of tenderness.

An iconic juice from the Réminiscence brand

This new Rem L’Acqua follows in the footsteps of the celebrated Rem, which first appeared in 1996. That fragrance is today regarded as the best-seller of the Réminiscence brand. It is a symbol of joy and exoticism, inspired by the island of Saint-Barthélemy. It was in this magical place that Nino Amaddeo, the founder of the brand, had the idea of creating this scent. The story goes that he had forgotten to bring his sunscreen. He immediately headed to the nearest bazaar to buy some, and there he was instantly captivated by that unmistakably holiday-like fragrance. On his return, he wanted to recreate that olfactory sensation. And so the perfume Rem was born. It is therefore inevitably a juice that sparks the desire to travel. Its scent is at once floral and aquatic. Like the new Rem L’Acqua, this juice evokes the wild iodine of sea spray and the coral reef. Furthermore, the joyfulness of this fragrance collection perfectly reflects the spirit of the entire Réminiscence range, both through its various fragrant essences and its assortment of jewellery that seems to come straight from distant lands.
