The Réminiscence brand has developed, over time, a habit of working around olfactory notes to the point of creating «solinotes» – fragrances that highlight a single, unique raw material. Today, the spotlight falls on Musc, an ingredient known for its particularly sensual animality. In reality, the idea of bringing raw materials to the fore in Réminiscence perfumes was born out of their creators' travels. Indeed, Zoé Coste and Nino Amaddeo spent their lives ceaselessly exploring the globe, bringing back from each journey raw, rare and precious ingredients that they gradually distilled into legendary fragrances. This is precisely what the perfume Musc is all about. It resembles an olfactory dream, the embodiment of a suddenly sublime scent. It then reveals its softest, most cottony side, suddenly releasing a warm and rounded breath. What's more, do not think that its sensuality detracts from its elegance. Musc resonates like a true second skin, unveiling a constant refinement as it evaporates.

Yet, while one might expect an immediately incisive fragrance, Musc actually reveals a very airy and light opening. It begins with soft, floral notes of ylang-ylang from the Comoros. This white flower is then paired with a few aromatic notes that further enhance its freshness. In other words, this is a «clean», almost white musk. It is a little as though Réminiscence gently takes us by the hand to lead us progressively towards a deeper, more sustained base. The journey first passes through a softer, powdery heart. It is in its sillage that Réminiscence reveals its full tenacity. There, it blends coumarin notes with more ambery tones dominated by a labdanum of balsamic and animalic character. Yet, against all expectations, Musc does not seek to make itself noticed. Instead, it creates a sensation closer to fullness and comfort. It is akin to a kind of enormous cushion in which one would simply want to snuggle. Moreover, although it was released in 1970, this juice has retained its timeless character and remains, even today, particularly on trend.
