Fleurs d’Oranger, the radiant facet of Serge Lutens

The too often overlooked personality of Serge Lutens

Serge Lutens is a creator of unparalleled inventiveness, to whom we owe a great many absolutely unique fragrant compositions. He delights in weaving a little of his story and personality into each of his perfumes. Yet his creations are often criticised for being too dark, revealing the less optimistic side of this atypical figure. Well, this time, rest assured that is not the case at all! Fleurs d’Oranger is a juice as simple as its name. It is an ode to the orange blossom, whose every facet is revealed on this occasion. It is a radiant and sunny juice, at once sensual and fresh. It evokes a sun-drenched patio on a spring day. Serge Lutens would almost seem to have made peace with his old demons, and joy is here utterly omnipresent. Fleurs d’Oranger is perceived as the ideal perfume for the summer season, or to lift the gloom at the end of winter. It becomes addictive very quickly, and it seems his many devoted fans simply cannot do without it!

The many scents of Fleurs d’Oranger

Fleurs d’Oranger opens with a luminous and radiant sensation. The heady presence of jasmine accompanied by tuberose is immediately noticeable. Thus, Fleurs d’Oranger makes a resoundingly bold entrance. It almost seems to want to transport us directly to the heart of the Mediterranean region. Close your eyes and you could almost hear the sound of waves crashing on warm sand. Then, Fleurs d’Oranger evolves towards an equally warm heart, though more spiced and wild. The white flowers are still present but are this time enriched with cumin and nutmeg. Finally, Fleurs d’Oranger closes with more muted notes. The blazing sun of the day seems to have given way to the calm of evening. The jasmine here becomes gentler and more restrained. And although this perfume is a concentrate of white flowers, it proves particularly tenacious. Not surprising, after all, given that this is a creation by Serge Lutens! Moreover, only he can claim to reinterpret familiar themes and turn them into true olfactory masterpieces. Fleurs d’Oranger is a concentrate of subtleties that breathes unexpected notes directly onto the skin.

The Eau de Parfum Fleurs d'Oranger by Serge Lutens

Fleurs d'Oranger " The Enchantress ". A white flower, heady and fresh.

" In the 17th century, the extract of Orange Blossom was also called Neroli essence; the Duchess Orsini of Neroli baptised it thus with her name...

It is a simple story... A nascent zephyr, a child's kiss. This is the Enchantress. " Serge Lutens

A fresh oriental floral, composed in paradox between opulence and freshness. Pure happiness.
