It was in 2005 that the house of Viktor & Rolf decided to venture into perfumery, with the creation of a first feminine fragrance – a sort of flower bomb addressed to all women to enrich their everyday lives. A few years later, in 2012, Viktor & Rolf repeated the experience on the men's side, crafting this time an essence called Spicebomb. Once again, everything was a matter of tension and attraction. As if to exacerbate the desire contained within its fragrance, Viktor & Rolf decided, in 2019, to plunge it into a more nocturnal universe. Focus on the new Spicebomb Night Vision.

Spicebomb Night Vision, a fragrance of strong contrasts

Spicebomb Night Vision is a fragrance aimed at all men who are not afraid of anything. Just like its predecessor, it relies on an explosive breath, this time associating a vegetal freshness with darker and incandescent spices. Created by Nathalie Lorson and Pierre Negrin, Spicebomb Night Vision does not lack temperament and is described as a «sensual, powerful and seductive» fragrance. As its name suggests, it takes us into a more nocturnal universe than before, in which darkness and mystery reign supreme.

«Spicebomb Night Vision intensifies the original message of Spicebomb and its innate power of seduction, placing the emphasis on dark and mysterious nuances». Its intense freshness first combines cardamom, grapefruit, apple and mandarin. Then, this lightness is swept away by the power of the spices. The heart of Spicebomb Night Vision blends chilli, black pepper, clove, nutmeg, sage and geranium. Finally, the whole softens into a more gourmand and woody base of roasted almond and tonka bean.

When Viktor & Rolf's grenade dons a magnetic green

As before, Spicebomb Night Vision comes in a grenade-shaped bottle. This makes the fragrance a chic and sophisticated weapon. However, its former transparency has given way to a more magnetic gradient. Now, the base of Spicebomb Night Vision is coursed through with a hypnotic green evolving to the black of night. A band still encircles the whole, as if to contain all the power of this olfactory bomb. Finally, a small pin decorated with the Viktor & Rolf seal is attached to its neck.

The creation of Spicebomb Night Vision is also the opportunity for Viktor & Rolf to call upon a brand-new ambassador. This time, the house chose Jacob Whitesides to be the face of its new fragrance. An American singer with a strong presence on social media, he reinforces the trendy image of the house. With his 2.1 million followers on Twitter and 1.4 million followers on Instagram, Jacob Whitesides seems to be the dream ambassador for Viktor & Rolf. The 21-year-old took the opportunity to post the news: «I am so happy to announce that I am the new face of Spicebomb! Incredible things are coming soon».
