THE CREATION Created by perfumer Guy Robert in 1961, and the first feminine fragrance from Hermès, Calèche was reinterpreted in 1992 to become Calèche Soie de Parfum, a composition named in reference to the house's iconic carriage and the art of silk. THE OLFACTORY NOTES Floral and aldehydic, Calèche Soie de Parfum combines the refined notes of aldehyde with the opulent notes of jasmine, alongside a generous rose. THE OBJECT Inspired by the lanterns of carriages of bygone days, the bottle is crowned with a black cap echoing the riding hat of equestrians. As a sign of belonging to the Parfums-Fondateurs collection, the label on the back is illustrated with a drawing by Philippe Dumas. THE PARFUMS-FONDATEURS COLLECTION The Parfums-Fondateurs collection draws its inspiration from the heritage of the house. Each creation concentrates the imagination of Hermès into a name, a fragrance, a colour. Over the years, Hermès has written the pages of a bold perfumery, born from encounters with exceptional perfumers. Composed by Guy Robert in 1961, Calèche is the first feminine fragrance of the house. It is a floral woody chypre of great femininity, whose name echoes the iconic carriage of Hermès. Calèche is a novel that shines through the beauty of its raw materials, from the gaiety of citrus notes to the modernity of aldehydic notes, from the floral heart embroidered with ylang-ylang, rose and jasmine, to the woody, chypre trail, underscored by the nobility of iris.
