After the success of the Blanc fragrances launched in 2012, and then the re-edition of Courrèges in Blue in 2014, it was the turn of a juice called La Fille de l'Air to make its appearance within the Courrèges brand. Created in collaboration with Air France, this essence instinctively sparked a desire to travel. Thus, continuing in the spirit of its simple yet refined sillage, Courrèges decided to set its bags down on a faraway island. And so the brand-new fragrance La Fille de l'Air Monoï was born.

The wanderlust of Courrèges

André Courrèges has always accompanied the emancipation of women and freed them in their movements. As early as the 1960s, he was one of the advocates of miniskirts, trouser suits and comfortable fabrics. However, women today express the desire to go ever further. In an age where personal, professional and digital lives intertwine, travel appears as one of the only sources of escape. Women dream of ubiquity and would like to be in a hundred places at once, as if to fulfil their thousand ambitions. This is why Courrèges decided to create La Fille de l'Air. Yet after travelling the world, it seems this juice finally found its corner of paradise at the heart of a dreamlike island… It was then that La Fille de l'Air transformed into La Fille de l'Air Monoï.

The heady, liqueur-like scent of La Fille de l'Air Monoï

La Fille de l'Air Monoï is a fragrance created by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin. He is a true lover of perfumery but above all enjoys following his instinct and emotions. This leads him to be particularly drawn to niche perfumery, far from the dictates of marketing. For him, fragrances should serve to transport. Thus, La Fille de l'Air Monoï appears as a fragrance in his own image. It opens with a fresh and sunny accord. Bergamot provides a tender yet sparkling freshness. It is accompanied by neroli, an absolute obtained by distillation of the leaves and peel of the bitter orange tree. If this scent is saturated with sunshine, this continues in its heart through the presence of orange blossom. Finally, La Fille de l'Air Monoï closes with greater sensuality, blending tiaré flower and vanilla in an even more liqueur-like breath.

The futuristic and timeless bottle of Courrèges

In terms of aesthetics, La Fille de l'Air Monoï retains the shape of the iconic bottle of the maison Courrèges. Although first created in 1971, it has not aged a bit. Its futuristic look has stood the test of time without ever growing old. Thus, La Fille de l'Air Monoï rests on a cylindrical base topped by an oversized spherical bottle. The whole is barely tinted in a very feminine and sunny rosy orange, in which a certain transparency can be perceived. With just a little imagination, La Fille de l'Air Monoï could almost resemble a sunset at the edge of the ocean.
