While the Eau Hyper Fraiche is indeed a 2017 fragrance, its origins date back to the 1970s with the creation of the iconic Eau de Courrèges. This was launched in 1974, perfectly reflecting the relaxed style that was so fashionable at the time. After having freed women from overly long skirts in favour of the miniskirt, fashion turned its attention to men, inviting them to be active and practise sport. It was precisely this vitality that Courrèges incorporated into its fragrance in 1974, making it the ideal companion for sporting outings while still retaining every ounce of refinement. It was, however, a unisex fragrance. From then on, this refreshing water achieved immense success. Everyone saw in it the invigorating breath of an outing in the open air, like a return to nature and the simple joys of everyday life. It is precisely this revitalising cocktail that we find in the new Eau Hyper Fraiche. Its tonic and luminous opening brings together several citrus fruits. Mandarin lends the whole a tangy and sunny quality. Bergamot, for its part, is zestier in character. Lemon further completes the tonicity of this opening. Then, for even more freshness and clarity, the heart of the Eau Hyper Fraiche evolves into an enormous floral bouquet. Jasmine is paired with mint for a particularly refreshing effect. Petitgrain, meanwhile, reveals itself more sparkling than ever. Finally, the whole is rounded off with greater character and nobility thanks to a subtle combination of moss and patchouli.
