THE CREATION

Created by Christine Nagel, Hermès perfumer, the Eau de Toilette Un Jardin à Cythère is a surprising garden, neither green nor blooming, but… golden. The expression of an olfactory quest across the Peloponnese, leading to Cythère, a preserved Greek island that has inspired many artists.

THE OLFACTORY NOTES

A hesperidic and woody fragrance, the Eau de Toilette Un Jardin à Cythère combines the enveloping character of grasses with the strength of olive wood and the tenderness of fresh pistachio.

THE OBJECT

Designed by Fred Rawyler, the bottle is inspired by the lines of the lanterns of vintage automobiles. The glass comes alive with a luminous yellow gradient, echoing the sun-drenched fragrance. On the case, artist Elias Kafouros sketches a colourful landscape of his homeland: golden grass, the green of olive trees, the pink of fresh pistachios and, in the background, the blue of the sea.
